Bhubaneswar: Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) today confirmed bird flu strain in the samples which it had sent to Bhopal for laboratory tests.
As per reports, some chickens were recently found dead inside the OUAT farm following which blood samples of the dead chickens were sent to Bhopal.
“We received the lab report from Bhopal today and it tested positive. The State government has already been informed about the same,” said the concerned department head, Sushen Panda..
Panda further informed that chicken culling operations will begin from tomorrow.
